Who this covers

Baseera Psychotherapy & Art Therapy is the practice of Madiha Bhatti, Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO #11059). This policy explains how personal information is handled, both through this website and within the practice.

Information collected through this website

This website does not use advertising trackers and does not sell information to anyone. Information is collected only when you choose to send it:

• Details you provide in the enquiry form — your name, email address, and what you have written
• Standard server logs kept by the web host, which may include IP addresses, retained for security purposes

You are asked not to include personal health information in the website enquiry form. Clinical information is collected through the secure booking and intake system instead.

Booking and clinical records

Appointment booking, intake forms, session records, and payment are handled through a practice management platform that stores health information in Canada and complies with Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). Payment card details are processed by that platform's payment provider and are never held by this practice.

Clinical records are retained for at least ten years after the last interaction, or ten years past a client's eighteenth birthday, as required of Registered Psychotherapists in Ontario.

Confidentiality and its limits

Information shared in therapy is confidential and is not disclosed without your written consent, with narrow exceptions required by law: where there is a risk of serious harm to you or another person, where a child may be in need of protection, where records are ordered by a court, or where the regulatory college requires access as part of its oversight.

Your rights

You may ask to see the information held about you, request a correction, ask how it has been used or shared, or withdraw consent for future use. Requests can be sent to mbhatti@baseera.ca.

If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, you may also contact the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.

Third-party services

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads. Web hosting, email, and the booking platform are provided by third parties bound by their own privacy obligations.

This policy may be updated from time to time; the date above reflects the most recent revision.
